Science and Technology

The meetings are on the 1st Tuesday of wach month at 1400 in the Scout and Guide HQ.

Tuesday 2nd December: Christmas Café Scientifique, come along and enjoy our Christmas meeting as our summer café had a revised format and was very successful .

Tuesday January 6th 2009.  U3A member Professor Bill Hale will talk about the Scientific Method and how it is applied when dealing with living things…not so easy sometimes! Professor Hale is doing research on Darwin and on a breed of finches on the Falkland Islands; we hope he will come back to talk about that later in 2009 after his next visit to The Falklands.

Tuesday February 3rd 2009.  David Martlew will present the History of Pilkingtons, with an emphasis on Science and Technology rather than the Pilkington family history.
