Moneywise

THIS popular group meets on the 2nd Friday of most months at the Scout and Guide HQ from 1400-1530 with coffee/tea served from 13.45. Presentations are given by specialist speakers on topics which have been requested by members of the U3A. The invited speakers provide detailed financial information on the topic under consideration and offer advice as required.

The Moneywise coordinators are very keen to receive suggestions from members about suitable topics for the Moneywise meetings. Please contact one of the coordinators with your ideas.

Money saving tips: Have we any tips from members to pass on in these days of energy /price increases etc?
Tip 1.  – Turn off your TV and video, radio, toaster, at night; don’t leave them on standby over night!! The same also applies to all your other electrical items except the electric clock!!

Tip 2.  – Turn the tap off whilst you clean your teeth, saving water and persuade other members of your family to do likewise!!
