The Internet Café at HORiZONS is open each Thursday morning between 1000 and 1130 apart from days when there is a monthly speaker.

You don’t need any experience of computers or the Internet ~ we will have experienced members to help get you started and to answer any internet-related questions you may have. We may even be able to help with simple queries about your own computer problems.

Here are just a few examples of what you can do with the internet:

  • Book your ideal winter holiday
  • Buy your Christmas presents online
  • Check the progress of your neighbour's planning application
  • Find a collector of Clarice Cliff ceramic ware
  • Join an online poetry club
  • Create an online photo album for your relatives in Australia to look at

Or get your own email address and:

  • Keep in touch with your far away children and grandchildren by e-mail
  • Set up an e-mail address on Hotmail or Google Mail
  • Exchange e-mails with friends and relatives
  • Send or receive digital photos

Or you may like to find out more by registering for TONIC - an easy on-line interactive course

If you are an experienced user, and would like to help advise others, do consider volunteering for our support rota.
