Digital Photography Competition

U3A DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP - MONTHLY COMPETITION INFORMATION

Up to 3 pictures can be entered for each competition topic.

Pictures are to be in jpg file type and it is permitted to enhance them with editing software.

We would like most of the ‘Simple Topic' pictures to be relatively local, and we would prefer pictures to have been taken within the past year. We do not insist on these points; it is not our wish to police entries, we want to encourage as many as possible to participate.

The picture file names should be renamed so including your name, which competition, 1 2 or 3, and a title if you wish; e,g,  JSmith-Autumn-1-Ruff Wood

List them in order of preference, 1, 2, 3, so if we receive a large entry we can reduce the number by dropping out each 3rd entry.

Ways of submitting entries :-

1. The preferred way is they be emailed to  digiphoto@aughton-ormskirk-u3a.co.uk    ensuring U3A is in the title of the email so as not to be rejected as spam.
2. If unable to email, take on a memory stick or a cd to a Thursday morning Horizon session or to our normal group meeting.

The entries are judged by the members at the 1st Thursday of the month meeting.

The monthly prize is simply the recognition of the merit of your entry and hopefully see your pictures on our web site.
