Computers/Information and Communications Technology


 

Computer Courses are held on a Thursday mornings at Christ Church School, Long Lane, Aughton. Please check the nwesletter for details of current courses and contact the coordinator if you are interested in any of the courses and book at Horizons or contact the co-ordinators.

All courses are usually six weeks long and on ongoing throughout the school term time. The cost of the course is £10 please make a cheque payable to Aughton and Ormskirk U3A.  The money is donated to the School as a thank you for the use of computer room.

Courses starting on Thursday 22nd April 2010

  • Desk top publishing through Word on 22nd April at 11am-12.30pm

Course date on Thursday 10th June 2010

  • Beginners Computer Course on 10th June at 11am -12.30pm

Course date on Thursday 17th June 2010

  • Internet and Email course on 17th June at 13.30 pm – 15.00 pm (5 weeks)

Courses will start again in September 9th  with a Word 2 course following on from the Beginners Course.11am -12.30pm

Come and join us and learn how to get the most out of your computer learn how to keep in touch with relatives by email, meet new friends and most important learn a new skill.   We always want more tutors who could give some help you don’t have to be a trained tutor just someone with a good knowledge of computers.  If not financially rewarding the reward is in giving a bit of your knowledge to someone else, passing on a very useful skill. All the learning materials will be provided.

There are also self teaching materials on the Web site www.u3a.org.uk which people may find useful or check the computer advice page for help with computer problems
