Computers/Information and Communications Technology

Computer Courses are held on a Thursday mornings at Christ Church School. Please check the nwesletter for details of current courses and contact the coordinator if you are interested in any of the courses and book at Horizons.

A ‘ Desk Top Publishing’ course using Word will start on Thursday 11 September from 1100-1230, if you are interested in this course you must have a basic understanding of your computer, it is not a course for a beginner; an  ‘Internet and e-mail’ course also starts on 11 September from 1330-1500.

In October after half term a Word 2 course, dependent of numbers, then a beginner’s computer course will be held.

The classes have been very successful thanks to our kind volunteer tutors who generously give their time and knowledge. We always want more tutors who could give some help, you don't have to be trained just someone with a good knowledge of computers. The reward is giving a bit of your knowledge to someone else and passing on a very useful skill.

Age Concern hold computer classes which range from absolute beginners and upwards they are held every Monday and Thursday at Haskayne Village Hall, the cost is £25 for a 5 week course. For further details phone 571 522.
