This group meets at 10.30 on the second Monday each month in the Scout & Guide Headquarters group for enjoyable and wide-ranging discussions of a variety of books.
Some of the books discussed during the past years have included 'The Shipping News' by Annie Proulx, Jane Austen's 'Mansfield Park', 'Madame Bovary', 'City of the Mind' by Penelope Lively and 'Life of Pi' by Yan Martell. We have grown from a small group to a relatively large one and we now have an interesting mix of members who each provide their own perspective on the current book. New members are always welcome in order to keep the group vibrant and lively. |
